Webelos camp has come and gone. Matt participated in leathercraft, swimming, fishing, science, archery, and bb guns. The temps hovered around 100 - hottest weekend of the summer. Fortunately the first night was chilly, the second night was stuffy and warm. We had a good time, but we did bolt early the last day to get home to showers and air-conditioning.

This weekend is the picture of perfection: 85 - cool breeze, low humidity...there is the hint of fall in the air. We walked down to the mighty Platte and explored. I seem to recall quite a few Augusts in my childhood where the Platte was not much wider than my car...it currently has quite a bit of water in it.

The Summer Olympics have begun and Matt and I are camped in front of the big t.v. as much as possible. I like just about everything in it but volleyball and basketball.
